Accessories

Grind adjustment

Stepless adjustment to any grind size you need.

  1. The adjustment dial has 90 settings, 3° apart;
  2. turn it clockwise for a finer grind;
  3. anticlockwise for a coarser one.

Important: only adjust when there are no beans in the grinder and while the motor is running.

Motor speed

  1. The speed range is 300 to 1600 rpm;
  2. Each step you turn the speed knob (12) clockwise adds 100 rpm; each step anticlockwise takes 100 rpm off;
  3. You can change the speed before or after starting the motor.

Recommended grind setting and speed:

  • espresso: setting 10–30, 900–1600 rpm;
  • pour-over: setting 40–60, 600–900 rpm.

If the motor stalls

  1. 1. Switch the grinder off with the power switch (15).
  2. 2. Unplug it, remove the lid (1) and pour out any beans left inside.
  3. 3. Plug it back in, set 1600 rpm, adjust to a coarser grind and switch the grinder back on.
Warning: at low speed, feed the beans in gradually so the motor doesn’t stall.

Operating instructions

  1. STEP1Plug the grinder in and turn on the power switch (15). The speed display lights up.
  2. STEP2Set the speed with the speed knob (12).
  3. STEP3Open the lid (1), pour the beans into the hopper (4) and press the start button (14) to start the motor.
  4. STEP4When the beans have been ground, press the bellows (2) to blow out leftover grounds. Do not grind for more than 45 seconds at a time.
  5. STEP5After grinding, press the bellows once more to blow out any coffee that is left.

Warning: do not put anything other than coffee beans in the grinder, and never put your hand inside it while it is plugged in or running. Doing so may cause serious injury.

Cleaning

  1. 1. Start the motor and use the bellows (2) to blow leftover grounds out of the chamber. Then switch the grinder off.
  2. 2. Unplug the grinder.
  3. 3. Remove the adjustment dial (6) by turning it anticlockwise.
  4. 4. Then remove the indicator collar (5) by turning it anticlockwise.
  5. 5. Pull out the front burr with its carrier.
  6. 6. Clean both burrs and the chamber with a dry brush or a handheld vacuum cleaner.
  7. 7. Remove the magnetic chute (7) and clean it thoroughly with a dry brush.
  8. 8. Clean the outlet (13) with a dry brush. Do not touch it with your fingers: the plasma generator probe is inside.
  9. 9. Reassemble everything in reverse order.
